The brush itself is very sturdy and works very well. The "Main Link" that I speak of is the one and only way that this brush attaches to your bag; a little plastic clip. The clip is cheap and if the clip breaks, you will lose the brush, but if you recover the brush, you no longer need the retractable cord because your only option is to place the brush inside your bag.
